Can boredom really do this to a person? I woke up at 1 a.m. just because I was bored of sleeping. Now that’s new! Can a person possibly be bored of sleeping? Yes, is my reply!
I’m too lazy to sleep nowadays. Then the next question that comes to your mind might be — what the hell does this guy do during the daytime? Aha, just shut out that question because you ain’t getting any answers from me.
I tried to study (I’ve heard it’s the shortcut to sleepiness). To my surprise, it didn’t work. I tried listening to the news — that didn’t work either. Now I had only one option left. It was risky, maybe even suicidal, but I decided to do it — I waited till 7 a.m., till my grandfather woke up!
I was so desperate that I decided to ask him about his old days (he’s ex-military, by the way). All I remember is how he started: “In 1947, when I was in Kashmir...” Slowly, my eyelids grew heavier, the atmosphere darkened, and *wooshadi woosh* (a mere expression)... I slept!
